Auntie Pea AKA
Pea's Pooches AKA
The Fairy Dogmother

Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. A few years ago, I lost my beloved Border Collie Pip, which left me with a prominent dog-shaped hole in my heart for years.
I realised how much i needed a dog in my life; and that's why Pea’s Pooches began.
I’m not sure who decided that dogs were supposed to be “just pets” because, quite frankly, I think they’re a level above humans. I connect with them incredibly naturally. I seem to understand their little quirks, moods and personalities, and thankfully they seem to understand me too!
I’ve even been affectionately called a “dog whisperer” by some of the lovely people whose dogs have stayed with us which fills my heart with joy.
As an autistic person, I’ve always struggled with human connections. I struggle with communication and feel incredibly awkward around people. With dogs, it's the polar opposite. They make me feel calm, loved and incredibly happy. With dogs I can be unapologetically myself and feel the love from them wholeheartedly.

Dog sitting isn’t something I do on the side, dogs are my full-time job and my life revolves around making them happy.
When your dog stays with us, they become part of the family. They’ll have plenty of walks and outdoor time, playtime, enrichment, socialising with other dogs, cuddles, attention and, where appropriate, a little bit of training too.
Every dog has different needs and I never believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether your pup is playful, nervous, cuddly, independent, energetic or a professional napper, I take the time to understand their individual personality and what makes them happiest.
When your dog is staying with Auntie Pea, they're on holiday. They may have a few extra belly rubs and they may have a few extra treats because you know what, that's what Aunties are for.
